Zapping the brain to sharpen the mind in schizophrenia
NCT ID NCT07273175
Summary
This study is testing whether a gentle, non-invasive brain stimulation technique can boost the benefits of computer-based cognitive training for people with schizophrenia. Researchers want to see if applying this stimulation before training sessions helps improve memory, attention, and planning skills more than training alone. The study involves 120 adults with schizophrenia who will receive either real or fake stimulation followed by computer exercises, with their thinking skills measured before, immediately after, and two months later.
