Zapping brain pain: new hope for debilitating nerve pain?

Summary
This small, early-stage study is testing whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique can safely reduce chronic nerve pain in people with neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD). Researchers will use a device called transcranial temporal interference stimulation (tTIS) on 12 participants to see if it lowers their pain scores and improves their quality of life. The goal is to find a new option for a type of pain that is very common in NMOSD and often hard to treat with current medications.
