Brain zaps boost leg strength after ACL surgery in women

NCT ID NCT07128602

First seen May 19, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether gentle brain stimulation can help women ages 18-35 recover thigh muscle strength after ACL knee surgery. 42 participants will receive either real or placebo brain stimulation during leg exercises over six sessions. Researchers will measure muscle strength, speed, and brain signals to see if this approach improves recovery better than standard rehab alone.
