Brain state matters: new study probes rTMS response in healthy volunteers
NCT ID NCT06750614
First seen May 03, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looked at how a person's brain state influences the brain's response to a type of magnetic stimulation called rTMS, which is used to treat depression. Thirty-six healthy adults received stimulation while their brain activity was measured with a non-invasive imaging technique. The goal was to understand what patients are doing during treatment sessions, not to test a treatment.
