Scientists zap brains to unlock memory secrets

NCT ID NCT05923606

First seen Feb 16, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at how certain brain rhythms help us hold information in short-term memory. Researchers will use a gentle, noninvasive technique called tACS to adjust these rhythms in 32 healthy adults while they perform memory tasks. The goal is to understand how the brain works, not to treat any condition.
