Brain scans could predict knee surgery success
NCT ID NCT07464080
First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a brain MRI can predict if someone will be satisfied after knee replacement surgery. About 1 in 5 patients still have pain or trouble moving after surgery, and doctors can't predict who. Researchers will scan the brains of 50 adults before and after surgery to see if brain activity patterns can predict satisfaction and function.
