New combo attack on brain melanoma: radiation plus drugs show promise
NCT ID NCT04074096
First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding a precise type of radiation (stereotactic radiosurgery) to a three-drug combination (binimetinib, encorafenib, and pembrolizumab) can better control melanoma that has spread to the brain in people with a specific BRAF gene mutation. Ten adults with stage IV melanoma and brain tumors are participating. The goal is to see if the radiation plus drugs delays brain tumor growth better than drugs alone.
