ICU Survivors' dementia risk tracked for over a decade

Summary

This study looks at why some ICU survivors develop dementia years later. Researchers will follow 567 new ICU patients and check their brain health using scans and spinal fluid samples. Participants can also donate their brains after death to help scientists understand the link between critical illness and long-term memory problems.
