First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This early-phase study tests whether a supplement called gamma-glutamylcysteine (GGC) can increase levels of the brain's master antioxidant, glutathione, in people with early Parkinson's disease. Researchers will measure changes in brain chemistry, motor skills, thinking abilities, and gut health over the course of supplementation. The trial enrolls 12 adults aged 50–80 with confirmed Parkinson's and no dementia.
