Experimental treatment aims to save lives after devastating brain bleeds
NCT ID NCT00823485
Summary
This study tested whether a clot-dissolving treatment could save lives in patients with severe brain bleeds caused by a burst aneurysm. It involved 19 patients who had suffered this type of catastrophic bleeding into the brain's fluid spaces. Researchers aimed to see if directly treating the blood clot could reduce deaths within 30 days.
