Brain surgery showdown: does one hole work better than two?

NCT ID NCT07368101

Summary

This study compared two surgical techniques for draining chronic blood clots from around the brain. Sixty patients were randomly assigned to receive either a single hole or two holes drilled in the skull, followed by drainage. Researchers tracked which method resulted in fewer repeat bleeds, shorter hospital stays, and fewer complications like infections.
