Massive study launches to unravel mystery of delayed brain damage after bleeds

Summary
This study aims to better understand a serious complication called delayed ischemic neurological deficit (DIND) that can occur in patients after a brain aneurysm bleed. Researchers will observe 10,000 patients in intensive care units to track how often DIND happens, how doctors currently diagnose and treat it, and how it affects patient recovery over a year. The goal is to gather real-world information to help improve future treatment guidelines, as there is currently no standard way to diagnose or manage this condition.
