New stent device aims to seal off dangerous brain bulges
NCT ID NCT04566263
Summary
This study tested a medical device designed to treat unruptured, wide-necked brain aneurysms—weak bulges in brain arteries. Doctors used a small mesh tube (stent) to help hold tiny coils in place inside the aneurysm, aiming to block it off and prevent a future rupture. The study followed 30 adult participants for up to 4 years to see how well the treatment worked and how safe it was.
