New coil device tested to seal off dangerous brain bulges

NCT ID NCT05563051

Summary

This study is collecting real-world information on a medical device called the i-ED coil. The coil is used to treat brain aneurysms, which are weak, bulging spots in a brain artery. Doctors insert the coil into the aneurysm to block blood flow and prevent it from rupturing. The study will follow 164 patients for up to a year to see how well the coil works and how safe it is.
