NCT ID NCT04225975

First seen May 18, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study aims to understand how a newborn's brain and blood flow work together in the first minutes after birth. Researchers will place a small patch on the baby's scalp to measure brain activity and oxygen levels at the same time. The goal is to find early signs of oxygen shortage that could lead to brain injury. 60 full-term babies will be observed for 15 minutes after delivery.
