Belly noises may predict pancreatitis severity

Summary
This study is testing whether listening to bowel sounds can help doctors predict which patients with acute pancreatitis will develop a severe form of the disease. Researchers will monitor 352 adults for 48 hours using a special device that records belly sounds. The goal is to see if changes in those sounds can give an early warning, allowing for faster treatment.
