Bowel cleanse before colon surgery: helpful or just hype?

Summary
This study looks at whether cleaning the bowel before surgery for colon cancer reduces the chance of infection after the operation. About 74 patients will be randomly assigned to either receive or skip the bowel prep. The main goal is to see if there is a difference in surgical site infections within 30 days after surgery.
