Bowel cleanse or not? new trial aims to settle colon surgery debate

Summary
This study looks at whether cleaning the bowel before surgery for colon cancer helps prevent infections. About 74 people having laparoscopic right colon removal will be randomly assigned to receive or skip bowel prep. The main goal is to see if bowel prep reduces surgical site infections within 30 days after surgery.
