NCT ID NCT06267469

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study compares a custom-made thermoplastic thumb orthosis to a standard factory-made brace for people with rheumatoid arthritis who have a boutonniere deformity. About 60 women aged 18-65 will be enrolled to see which brace improves hand strength, dexterity, and pain levels more. Participants will have their grip and pinch strength measured, complete questionnaires about hand function and pain, and rate their satisfaction with the brace.
