Botox shots before surgery make complex hernia repairs safer and easier
NCT ID NCT07349628
Summary
This study looked at whether giving Botox injections before surgery could help patients with complex abdominal hernias. The Botox temporarily relaxes the stomach muscles, making it easier for surgeons to close the hernia opening. Researchers followed 32 patients to see if this approach led to fewer complications and better recovery.
