Cancer center probes why some patients struggle to find a good bone marrow match

Summary

This study aims to understand if a patient's ethnic background and financial situation affect their ability to find a well-matched bone marrow donor and receive a transplant. Researchers will follow 1,200 adult patients who are candidates for a transplant at MD Anderson Cancer Center. The goal is to identify and measure any unfairness in the transplant process to help make it more equal for everyone.
