Jawbone repair showdown: which material works best?

NCT ID NCT07520903

First seen Apr 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tested two types of special membranes used to help grow new jawbone in areas where bone has been lost. Fourteen people who needed bone rebuilding before getting dental implants took part. Researchers measured how much bone grew over 12 months using 3D X-rays and checked for any problems. The goal was to see which material worked better for making the jawbone strong enough to hold implants.
