First seen May 29, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tested two types of bone graft materials (alloplastic and xenograft) to rebuild lost jawbone in the back of the lower jaw. Twenty adults with missing teeth and not enough bone for dental implants received both graft types in different sides of their jaw. The goal was to see which material led to more bone growth and less pain or swelling after 6 months.
