First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study compares two bone graft materials (bovine bone granules and a sponge-like collagen matrix) used with an enamel protein gel to repair bone defects caused by gum disease. About 40 adults with moderate to severe periodontitis will receive one of the two grafts after standard gum treatment. The main goal is to see which material better reduces pocket depth at 12 months.
