This study looked at 88 people aged 11 or older who finished braces and got a permanent wire glued behind their lower front teeth to keep them straight. Researchers compared two ways of preparing the teeth before gluing: sandblasting the enamel versus cleaning with pumice. The goal was to see which method leads to fewer wires coming loose over 18 months, which could reduce emergency visits and unwanted tooth movement.
