First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at whether placing a child on their back (supine) or in a semi-sitting position (Semi-Fowler's) during a needle procedure like a blood draw or IV insertion can lower their pain. Researchers will compare pain scores in 64 children aged 1 to 6 years using a special scale. The goal is to find a simple, no-medication way to make these common procedures less uncomfortable for young children.
