Mindful moves: new therapy aims to boost posture and confidence in teens

NCT ID NCT07598591

First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether adding a therapy called Basic Body Awareness Therapy (BBAT) to standard corrective exercises can improve body image, self-esteem, and posture in teenagers with postural hyperkyphosis (excessive rounding of the upper back). About 60 adolescents aged 10-18 will be split into two groups: one doing exercises plus BBAT, and the other doing exercises plus relaxation training. The goal is to see if mindful movement helps both physical alignment and emotional well-being.
