Summary
This study tested whether a single dose of an experimental drug called BNC210 could quickly reduce anxiety during stressful social situations. About 370 adults with social anxiety disorder took either the drug or a placebo pill and then completed a challenging social task about an hour later. Researchers measured how much the medication reduced their immediate feelings of distress compared to the placebo.
