Bone marrow shot for shoulder pain? tiny study tests safety

NCT ID NCT04826224

First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This early-stage study tested whether a concentrated dose of a person's own bone marrow cells (BMAC) is safe when given during shoulder surgery for arthritis. Only 2 people took part before the study was stopped early. The main goal was to check for side effects, not to measure pain relief.
