Simple blood test could speed up cancer treatment decisions
NCT ID NCT02279004
First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a blood test can quickly and accurately find certain gene changes in people with advanced lung cancer or melanoma. These gene changes help doctors choose the right targeted therapy. The goal is to see if this blood-based method works as well as the standard tumor biopsy, but is faster and less invasive. About 840 participants are being followed to measure the test's accuracy and how well it tracks treatment response.
