Finger monitor aims to keep surgery blood pressure stable

NCT ID NCT06753097

Summary

This study tested whether using a continuous finger-cuff blood pressure monitor during surgery works better than the standard intermittent arm-cuff method at reducing episodes of dangerously low blood pressure. It involved 930 low-to-moderate risk adults having planned, non-heart surgery under general anesthesia. The goal was to see if more constant monitoring helps doctors react faster to prevent blood pressure drops.
