First seen Apr 04, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study watches 220 adults aged 75 and older who have high blood pressure to see if brief drops in daytime blood pressure (below 90 mmHg) raise the risk of falls, hospital stays, heart problems, or death. Participants wear a 24-hour blood pressure monitor and are followed over time. The goal is to learn which blood pressure patterns are safest for older people.
