Simple blood tests may predict heart attack outcomes in diabetic patients
NCT ID NCT07155395
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study aims to see if common blood tests can help predict how severe a heart attack is and what the recovery might look like, especially for people with diabetes. Researchers will follow 1,000 patients who have a specific type of heart attack (STEMI) and are treated with a procedure to open blocked arteries. By comparing blood markers in diabetic and non-diabetic patients, they hope to find a simple, cost-effective way to identify those at higher risk for complications.
