Blood and lung clues may predict biologic success in severe ACOS

NCT ID NCT07602881

First seen May 24, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026

Summary

This study aims to find markers in blood and lung scans that can predict how well patients with severe eosinophilic ACOS (a mix of asthma and COPD) will respond to biologic drugs like benralizumab, mepolizumab, or dupilumab. Researchers will follow 500 adults for 48 weeks after starting treatment, collecting blood samples and imaging data. The goal is to build a model that helps doctors choose the right biologic for each patient, improving outcomes and reducing trial-and-error.
