New training trick may speed up knee recovery for active workers

NCT ID NCT07311031

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests whether blood flow restriction training (using a cuff to partially reduce blood flow during light exercise) can help active workers regain leg strength and knee function faster after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. Sixty participants will follow a 14-16 week rehab program, with half doing the special training and half doing standard rehab. The goal is to see if this approach leads to stronger quadriceps muscles and a quicker return to work.
