First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a special exercise method called blood flow restriction (BFR) can help reduce pain and improve muscle function in people with severe knee osteoarthritis who are waiting for knee replacement surgery. Participants will try six different exercise setups that vary the amount of blood flow blocked and the weight used. The goal is to find the best way to use BFR to ease pain and improve movement.
