New device aims to boost circulation, potentially lowering clot risk

NCT ID NCT05469282

Summary

This study tested whether a single use of a medical device could safely improve blood circulation in leg veins. It involved 59 adults, including people at higher risk for dangerous blood clots (deep vein thrombosis) and healthy volunteers. Researchers measured blood flow and vein size before and after one application of the device to see if it made a difference.
