First seen Nov 12, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study is creating a large collection of blood samples and medical information from 375 people with non-cancerous blood diseases like aplastic anemia, sickle cell disease, and thalassemia. Researchers will use this biobank to learn why some treatments, such as stem cell transplants or gene therapy, fail and to find new ways to improve them. Participants will provide samples and data over time, but this study does not test any new treatment itself.
