Summary
This study compares two different medicines used to prevent dangerous blood clots after head and neck cancer surgery. One group takes apixaban as a pill twice daily, while the other group receives enoxaparin as a daily injection for 10 days after their operation. Researchers want to know if the pill is as safe and effective as the shot, and which treatment patients find easier and more satisfying to use.
