Summary
This early-stage study tested a small implant placed under the skin that slowly releases naltrexone, a medicine used to treat opioid use disorder. The implant stays in for 3 months and is then removed. The goal was to check safety and how much medicine gets into the blood in 16 healthy adults aged 18 to 55.
