Scientists hunt for biomarkers to predict CLL drug failure early
NCT ID NCT02827617
First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looked for biological markers that could predict early on whether the drug ibrutinib would stop working in people with a high-risk form of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) that has a TP53 mutation. Researchers followed 56 adults with CLL who were starting ibrutinib treatment. They collected blood samples to see if changes in certain genetic markers could signal whether the drug would provide long-term benefit or if resistance was developing.
