Summary
This study evaluates a new test called the BioFire Emerging Coronavirus Panel, which looks for coronaviruses in nose swab samples. Researchers will check how well the test detects these viruses compared to standard methods. About 1,500 leftover swab samples from routine care will be used. The goal is to see if the test is highly sensitive and specific for diagnosing coronavirus infections.
