Biofeedback boosts exercise benefits for back pain sufferers

NCT ID NCT06613620

First seen Jan 03, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looked at whether adding a surface electromyographic biofeedback device to standard stretching and strengthening exercises helps people with lower crossed syndrome. 46 adults aged 19-35 with moderate lower back pain participated. The biofeedback device shows muscle activity in real time, helping patients engage the right muscles during exercises. The goal was to see if this extra feedback improves pain, disability, and posture more than exercise alone.
