Could special sounds replace sedation drugs for moms in surgery?

Summary
This study is testing whether listening to special audio tones, called binaural beats, can help reduce anxiety and the need for sedative medication in mothers having a C-section with spinal anesthesia. Researchers will enroll 100 women to see if those listening to the beats require a lower dose of the sedative midazolam. The goal is to provide comfort while potentially avoiding the side effects that can come with higher doses of medication.
