New combo aims to shrink bile duct tumors before surgery

NCT ID NCT07599995

First seen May 22, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether adding the drug envafolimab to standard chemotherapy (gemcitabine and cisplatin) before surgery can reduce cancer cells in patients with bile duct cancer at high risk of coming back. About 34 adults aged 18-80 with this cancer will receive the drug combination, then have their tumor tissue checked after surgery. The main goal is to see if the treatment leaves 10% or fewer live tumor cells.
