Could a simple diet change protect vulnerable Kids' lungs?
NCT ID NCT07303738
Summary
This study aims to understand if certain blended foods given through a feeding tube can reduce bile acid levels in the stomachs of children at risk for aspiration. Researchers will compare three different diets over a four-hour period in 60 children who get most of their nutrition through a tube. The goal is to gather knowledge that could lead to better ways to prevent lung damage from stomach contents entering the airway.
