New drug aims to plug kidney leaks in rare diseases

Summary
This study tests an experimental tablet, BI 764198, in adults and teens with certain kidney diseases that cause protein to leak into urine. About 132 participants will be randomly assigned to take the drug or a placebo once daily for 20 weeks, while continuing their usual care. The main goal is to see if the drug reduces protein levels in urine, a sign of kidney damage.
