New hospital tool aims to prevent medication confusion for seniors
NCT ID NCT06605807
Summary
This study is testing a new decision-making guide for doctors who treat hospitalized older adults with chronic conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure. Researchers want to see if this guide helps doctors feel more confident in making personalized medication decisions and leads to fewer medication changes that confuse patients after they leave the hospital. The study involves 150 doctors attending a training session and comparing their survey answers and patient records from before and after they learn about the guide.
