New scan could spot hidden transplant rejection, saving lives

NCT ID NCT07046910

Summary

This study is testing a special type of MRI scan to see if it can detect early signs of rejection in lung transplant patients. Researchers want to see if this scan can spot problems before current tests can, which might help doctors treat rejection sooner. The study will enroll 60 recent lung transplant recipients to compare the new scan results with standard tests and tissue samples.
