Sound waves may boost skin treatment for vitiligo

NCT ID NCT07267273

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests whether using ultrasound (phonophoresis) to push a steroid cream deeper into the skin can help control vitiligo, a condition that causes white patches. About 60 adults with vitiligo will receive the treatment, and doctors will measure how noticeable the patches become. The goal is to see if this method works better than cream alone.
