NCT ID NCT07610603

First seen May 28, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tested four ways to clean clear plastic aligners worn to straighten teeth. Sixty adults wore aligners for 10 days and cleaned them with one of four methods: brushing with water, soaking in mouthwash, using a cleaning tablet, or an ultrasonic cleaner with a tablet. The goal was to see which method removed the most bacteria. Results help patients keep their aligners cleaner and reduce plaque buildup.
